About the AMP

We’re working to stop corruption in the mining sector, before ground is even broken, to ensure the highest standards of governance in the mining sector.

Since 2016, Transparency International’s Accountable Mining Programme (AMP), the centre of expertise in Mining governance for the Transparency International Movement, has collaborated across the global network to investigate the impact of corruption on the mining sector.

We aim to build a fairer, clearer, and cleaner mining sector by working collaboratively with governments, companies, civil society organisations, and communities.

As host of the programme, Transparency International Australia coordinates efforts across more than 23 countries to ensure mining sector governance is transparent, accountable, participatory, and promotes gender equality.

The AMP’s work integrates cross-cutting themes of strengthening business integrity, energy transition and critical minerals, ensuring gender equality, safeguarding civic space, and resources governance and accountability.
