Our network

Our work focuses on strengthening mining governance to create a transparent, accountable, and corruption-free mining sector. By strengthening governance in the mining sector, we can prevent corruption at every stage of the mining value chain.

Corrupt practices in the mining sector have a significant impact on people’s well-being, safety and livelihoods, affecting land rights, water resources, environmental impact, and the proper functioning of government services, which should operate with expertise and integrity.

Robust mining governance is also critical to a stable business investment: a transparent, accountable and trusted process mitigates the potential risks of conflict, bribery, unexpected delays and damage to social licence.
