Global partnerships

The Global AMP team engages with international partners and participates in relevant forums in Europe, Latin America, Africa, Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Leveraging on our network of partners is a key aspect of our work, facilitating advocacy opportunities for the TI Movement, and enabling us to effectively raise business integrity standards for the sector and contribute to stronger mining governance.

Our engagements and partnerships have included the Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI), the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), the OECD Responsible Business Centre, the World Bank Extractive Governance team and the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative, as well as with leading civil society organisations, such as the Publish What You Pay (PWYP)/Resources Justice Network coalition, Natural Resources Governance Institute (NRGI), Global Witness or Open Ownership.

Global leadership and coordination

As the centre of mining expertise for the Transparency International movement, our global team connects the knowledge and insights from our local and national-led work across 23 countries to advance global awareness and action on corruption risks in the mining and extractives sector.

Through partnerships with over 23 TI chapters, we have developed tools and strategies to identify corruption risks, improve transparency, and elevate local perspectives in decision-making.

These tools include tools and guides such as the Responsible Mining Business Integrity Tool, the Mining Awards Corruption Risk Assessment (MACRA) tool, and the guidance Using the EITI Standard to Combat Corruption: Lessons from Transparency International’s mining research in five countries, all designed to facilitate inclusive dialogue and risk mitigation across the mining lifecycle, including at the sub-national level.
