STOPPING CORRUPTION, BEFORE GROUND IS EVEN BROKEN

We are working to strengthen responsible business conduct in the mining sector.

By ensuring the decisions to explore, open and expand new mines are transparent and accountable, we can stop corruption before ground is even broken.

We are working with companies, governments, international organisations and communities to enhance transparency, improve mining sector governance, and raise business integrity standards and ambition.

For over six years, Transparency International’s Accountable Mining programme has been working in partnership with over 20 Transparency International Chapters, from some of the world’s most resource-rich countries, to analyse the best ways to prevent corruption in mining licencing decisions.
